@GrandPatzer Philosophies do not win arguments. Facts do. Making a profit is his point. All the other details are summarized in this video. Reading the book series will provide elaboration on those details as this exact example comes up several times in his literature. To elaborate on your questions in your defense, "You get rich when you give people [who don't know better] something they need.". It is a very sound policy to bet in the ignorance of others.

I do not know whether you are right. if i own a hotel, or a dozen of hotels it is by far different from renting a house. hotels charge very much by the night. hotels are great investment, thank you very much. if you rent houses by the month, then you only get a fraction of your investment. Thats why Donald Trump only owns property that makes more money than it seems. A hotel makes money by collecting mini-rents. A casino on the other hand does the same, but also includes venues that include several income streams, therefore the gap is not only covered, but always cashflow possitive. This is why most hotels in the world today are not just rooms to let, which is wrong as ANY single-income-stream based business. If it goes bust, there is no counterbalance from other income streams.

Your argument although true does not always apply in real life. There are MANY exceptions. Say I get a construction loan. I build a parking lot, it is SUPER CHEAP property to own, and I collect RENT, every single HOUR, every week, every month, by the hundreds. The mistake most people do, is that they get a loan, build a 3 story house, live in one of the 3 apartments, pay the loan+expenses+repairs with the rest 2 rents, so they barely break even. Scaling while keeping costs down is the key

@bookskamaki I agree with robert for the most part, but in this case i agree with you, the mortgage of a house is at least 900 plus so its about 1300 a month, how can anyone make money of that, you would have to rent out your house for like 2000 to make any money, most people cannot afford that. the only way i see robert's point is if i bought 10,000 in silver and put it on my credit union at 5% interest, then yea i could make some money of that, but not of a house.

the rents are usually average price. The prices of houses do usually go up. The rents (profit after taxes and house repairs) are usually 1/900 to the price of the house. How are you going to pay the mortgage with the rent you are getting? it is insane. I know many people who invested on rents. The got broke in 20 years. Because you cannot expand with rents . This guy sell books to people who do not have microsoft excel. A simple test to excel proves him very wrong

@lcbaudar The only reason you can even get a mortgage on a house right now is because the FHA is guaranteeing it at mounting losses. 90% of the mortgage would otherwise be FROZEN and will be at the current rate of losses. Study the full scene. There is a symbiotic relationship with China that funds the US' ability to issue credit to buy a home (via US Treasury's). When consumers are not buying Chinese products, there isn't a sufficient amount of dollars to recylce back into the US. The END.

What Robert is seeking to do is laudable given the few that will actually seek financial 'gain' from it. But he ignores the multitude of poor made poorer from it. If it means not selling homes to people who shouldn't be buying I will have to find another source of income. When i first got credit cards in college, I spent on them not realizing that the $15 minimum payment could grow to a $30 minimum payment. with credit, all you can do is spend more than you have. Its always true whether its just a clothing purchase, or if its a car loan or a home loan. YOU ARE IN DEBT and minimum payments are all you're likely to make. That's why I paid all my shit off.

Credit is a bunch of #'s in a data base and its monopoly money...this company i mentioned below uses fed laws that the gov doesnt want us americans to know about and wipes out the debt (well technically the bureaus do the wiping :) ) ...they charged me less than a 1000 for a whole years work, although it took my first set of reports to things deleted!! The way I look at it is this, we loaned the banking industry 700 billion, I hadn't received timely payments back so I'm declaring that they are late so I'm upping the interest to 30% (legal in my state). I believe that equates to an extra 210 billion in interest per month. Its been a few months now so their debt is really skyrocketing out of control. I'm sending this to collections.

I agree with AEinsteinSr. Just dont use credit cards. And honestly, using credit cards after you have already lost your job or took a cut in pay is pretty much about the 23rd thing on the list of things you should do in a situation like that. 99.99% of the time it just seems to make everything worse. I do think the fact that credit is becoming more exclusive and elite per the new laws and regulations in Feb will sort a lot of this out in years to come.

Not all collection offices purchases debts. Most are referred to them by the creditor. If it IS a purchased debt, the money can no longer be paid to the original creditor as the account has been sold. As for the last part, that is correct, however if you call the creditor they may likely refer you back to the collection office. Moreover, check in your contact with the original creditor it usually has some section giving them the right to collect on the debt, etc.

Write a letter to each Bureau disputing all bad items at once. Tell them the items need to be investigated and removed or corrected as they contain inaccurate info. Then tell them the reason, like it's the wrong amount. If it's not removed within 30 days do it again and again each time changing the reason. You need to tell them what you want them to do exactly, like fix pay history or remove whole line. If the line is inaccurate, outdated, misleading or unverifiable etc then it's gotta go.

My heart goes out to all these people, but let's be real here. People are trying to live way beyond their means. It is quite obvious that the family depicted here bought way more house than they can handle. People now buy a home that the mortgage is something like 30-40% of their COMBINED salaries and then pray that the interest rate doesn't go up. If you make something like $5000-6000 combined, you need to get a $1000 mortgage home (or apartment), You do not get a $1600 or $1900 one.

Actually that one lady at 2:40 her nterst rate is 58.5%, not the 19.99%. That 19.99% is a annual interest rate, but we pay it at monthly intervels so when you calculate it at that rate it's 58.5%. And all that is is dividing 140.57 into her payment. That's why the credit cards call it's "Finance Charge" becasue under the usry laws the maximum interst rate is 29.99% but remember that's yearly. It's just another way the slimeball credit card companies spin the truth to keep you slave to your debt

Here's how you start to fix all these problems Everyone. Take that credit card and cut it up. Call them and cancel the account. Dont just stop useing it because they are working on a new penalty charge for "NOT USING" your card. they will crap themselves when 40 million people call them up.. Then they wont have a choice but to fix it. Its as easy as that... I declare March 1st 2010 the day we all call your card Co and take control.. pass it on.
